First hay bales arrive on drought-stricken Kangaroo Island

After a record-dry season across much of South Australia, Kangaroo Island farmers are finally seeing some relief, with the first shipment of hay scheduled to arrive on the island this morning. But it's not all good news for local producers.  After months of having to pay for water deliveries and supplementary feed, there are concerns freight costs - to the mainland - are about to jump with the impending arrival of an upgraded ferry system.
